We'll have just a few weeks to pass urgently needed voting rights legislation in the Senate.
And there are major elections that are already underway for Congress, governors, and state secretaries of state – often the chief election officials in states, who will be critical to holding the line against Trumpist and other far-right attacks on our free and fair elections).
It's going to be a defining year for our course as a nation and we need to be strong enough to mount the robust defense that American democracy and our rights and freedoms deserve.
