When I was Prime Minister, the holidays were always an important time to reflect on the year we’ve had and to look forward to the one ahead. This year, I am deeply grateful for all of the ways that Canadians have had each other’s backs and worked to build a better future.
It was also a pleasure to join Justin Trudeau and the Liberal team in Brampton, Ontario during this year’s campaign. Although the election looked a little different this time around, I was inspired to see Canadians come together and keep fighting for the better Canada that we believe in.
We live in an unprecedented time, friend, and that’s why it’s so important to keep Canada moving forward.
As this Liberal government begins its new mandate, I have the utmost confidence that we have a great future and we have proven that we can face any challenge as a team.
Justin Trudeau and our Liberal government are working tirelessly to finish the fight against COVID-19 and build a better, healthier, and more prosperous tomorrow. It’s a plan that will make affordable child care a reality for families across Canada, work to bring home ownership back within reach, accelerate our fight against climate change, and keep building a resilient economic recovery with good new jobs.
There is a lot of work ahead of us, friend, and we will continue to face it together, look out for one another, and achieve remarkable things in 2022 – because that’s what we do as Canadians.
