Jack, as a Mexican-American child of migrant farmworkers, growing up in rural communities on the west coast, I quickly learned that my childhood was different from others. My family moved around every three months following the seasons and adapting to various types of agricultural labor to make ends meet.
My mother valued education, and despite moving so frequently, she made sure I was on the school bus every day no matter where we were. She knew knowledge was the way out of poverty.
Today, there are many people that share my story of living in poverty. Educating voters is critical to creating #VotersForever. But to do that, as an organizer, I need certain supplies to get the job done. Can you help us invest in our communities of color alongside me by donating $25 today? That will get us 25 clipboards, so people have something to write on when they sign their voter registration form.
$25 will buy a box of 25 clipboards!
Your contribution will help create voters for life who show up at #EveryElectionEveryTime. NOW is the time to be a part of the shift in the narrative we need to build a state that represents us all.
Please consider making a contribution – every single dollar counts.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately.
