AMP publishes report on Zionist normalization and collaboration in the US Last month, AMP published a Report on Working with Zionist Organizations. This memo provides the American-Muslim community with a set of criteria by which to determine whether or not to work with various Jewish organizations, to determine whether or not these organizations have Zionist and Islamophobic history, and to provide the rationale for which it’s necessary to avoid working with these organizations. It provides a list of organizations that are Zionist and we should stay away from, and rights-centered that we can, and should, support and work with. At the time where one insurgent has been identified within CAIR, America’s leading Muslim national civil rights organization, and another at a major mosque invited to national meetings, we must be more vigilant than ever in ensuring our work does not secretly or overtly supply the Zionist machine. These institutions are built and intend to hurt our community by infiltrating it and turning us against one another. We cannot allow these institutions of systemic harm to deter us from speaking and working for the Palestinian cause. As Palestinian, Muslim, and ally communities, our advocacy for Palestine must be represented in the work we do, the content we produce, and the relationships we have. This guide will be helpful to organizations, mosques, student and youth groups, as well as institutions seeking criteria to analyze the credibility of partnerships with organizations listed and beyond. Be sure to check it out, share, and incorporate it into the work you do for Palestine! And when you’re done, make a tax-deductible contribution so we can continue to do this crucial work. |
