John, we’re sure you’re getting a ton of fundraising emails asking you for money right now. The truth is, we really don’t enjoy sending these out either.
Our team would rather be out in the field knocking on doors and talking to voters in Illinois’ Eighth than filling your inbox with yet another email asking for $5, $10, or $25.
But the hard reality of a 100% grassroots campaign is that if we don’t ask for contributions, it’s almost impossible to have the resources we need to succeed against our corporate opponent.
Every door hanger we slip onto a door knob, every pamphlet we hand out at a farmer’s market, and every t-shirt we hand out to a campaign volunteer starts with your contribution.
It might not seem like it makes a huge difference at the time, but all of our actions together build the real grassroots power needed to unseat a politician funded by countless corporations and special interests.
Just take a look at some our campaign photos from the past year:
Whether we’re organizing in our community…
marching in the rain…
or knocking on doors…
It all starts right here with your contribution.
Together, we can transform our government so it actually works for all of us.
We can pass legislation to make sure no one goes without food, housing, healthcare, education, and opportunity.
And we can unrig our political system and finally put power back where it belongs — in the hands of the people.
So if you can, please contribute any amount. We are $15,350 away from our end-of-year fundraising goal and we can’t get there without you.
If you’ve saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately. |
