John,
At an early age, my family taught me the importance of service. That commitment to the strength and security of our nation is what led me to serve as a federal agent, then serve as a CIA case officer. In 2017, I launched an historic campaign to represent the people of Virginia’s Seventh District. I was motivated then, as I am now, by a desire to work for positive change in our communities. It was a challenging race, but against heavy odds and with the help of so many of you, we won, and I got right to work.
Today, with new Congressional boundaries finalized, I am affirming my intention to seek re-election to Virginia’s Seventh District, so that we can continue the hard work of addressing the economic challenges people face in their daily lives, defending democracy, and improving life for families in Virginia.
We are living in difficult times — and the stakes for our next election could not be higher. The road ahead requires a leader who is both tested and tireless, and I remain deeply committed to serving Virginians in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Our race will continue to be one of the closest in the country. Joe Biden won this district in 2020 — however, Republican Glenn Youngkin won it in this year’s governor’s election. But, I know with your help, we will continue to make history together.
I will forever be grateful to the Virginians who elected me in 2018. Today, as I continue my work, can I count on you to stand with me in our next chapter? secure.actblue.com/donate/BLU-SPAN-Q4-2021-donate?refcode=BLU-SPAN-20211229-1-EM&amount=25
Thank you,
Abigail
