As we say goodbye to 2021, I am so truly grateful to have you on my team.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all of your kindness and support. It's because of you and the inspiration you give me that, despite the challenges, I know that serving the people of PA-05 is so very worth it.
As you consider your end-of-year contributions, I would be grateful and honored if you included my reelection campaign in your plans by donating anything you're able to contribute. The year-end giving period coincides with my FEC filing deadline, and it's crucial that I go into 2022 in the strongest possible position.
Next week, we'll descend again into the once-a-decade redistricting process that will not only determine if I can continue to serve in Congress, but will also have a major impact on the Democrats' ability to maintain our control of the US House after November 2022.
Already the PA House GOP is back to their old dirty tricks. Their proposed US House map goes back to the old ways of ridiculous-looking districts, and, if enacted, it would cost Democrats at least one seat, and potentially several. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the final outcome of the PA map could well "determine which party controls the U.S. House.”
Our ability to prevent the GOP's map from becoming law will depend on if we have the financial resources to fight the GOP in court. But our end-of-year FEC filing deadline is on Friday 12/31, and we're still $2,325 short of our goal.
And when my fundraising numbers go public soon after, the GOP will comb through every page for any sign of weakness.
