John,

We can't afford to wait any longer to take action to stop gun violence in
America.

Gun violence is now a greater threat than ever to our students and
educators: Between August 1 and October 31 of this year, at least 89
instances of gunfire occurred on school grounds, killing 15 and wounding
63—the most instances of gunfire and the most people shot on school
grounds in this period since Everytown began tracking in 2013.

Yet too many lawmakers in Congress and in our statehouses are beholden to
the gun lobby, and they've not only refused to improve gun safety—they're
actively trying to WEAKEN our gun laws and promote a dangerous "guns
everywhere" culture in America.

We're never going to stop fighting for a future free from gun violence. It
takes a lot of work and a lot of resources—and to keep our movement going
strong, we need you with us as we head into 2022.
