John,
My Republican opponent, Claudia Tenney, takes her supporters’ money and lines her own pockets with it. I’m running this campaign differently.
Our elected leaders should stand up to special interests and make our government work for working families. That’s why I’m not accepting a dime of corporate PAC money, instead relying on grassroots contributions from people like you.
Relying on grassroots donations makes it more difficult to fundraise and it’s why we have to send so many emails like this one, but refusing corporate PAC money is the right thing to do — and it gives me a chance to connect with so many people who share a belief that we can deliver better representation for Upstate New York.
In fact, having the chance to talk with supporters like you is my favorite part of the campaign, John. That’s why I’m going to directly call some of the folks who chip in through this email before Friday’s end-of-quarter deadline to thank you and to talk about the work we will do together to win this race.
Can you pitch in $5 or more before our first end-of-quarter deadline on Friday night? It would mean the world to me, and hopefully I’ll have the chance to thank you over the phone soon »

John, this last election was decided by just 109 votes. Every dollar we raise could be the difference between victory and defeat.
We can win this thing. And we’ll do it together. Please pitch whatever you can today and let’s flip this seat:
