** If you need an end-of-the-year pick-me-up, Steve has compiled a heartwarming list of Big Green's biggest failures in 2021. Check out his blog for the full rundown. ([link removed])

Junk Science ([link removed]) (12/28/21) article: "The year 2021 may go down in history as the year that foretold the end of the climate idiocy movement — although the movement is unlikely to take the hint. This year witnessed the follies, failures and lies of climate idiocy laid bare for all to see — that is, if the media had actually reported them. So here are the 10 biggest failures of the climate movement in 2021. The only reason the climate movement survives past these flops is because the mainstream media keeps it afloat by failing to honestly report the news.
1. European wind failure causes disastrous global energy crisis.
2. Frozen Texas windmills causes blackouts that kill dozens.
3. COP26 fails to ‘consign coal to history.’
4. Biden’s war on fracking backfires — raises energy prices and emissions — and makes the US dependent on OPEC again.
5. Fraud Trifecta: Nature Conservancy sells phony carbon offsets to publicly traded companies.
6. Sen Manchin vetoes President Biden’s Clean Electricity Performance Program.
7. Western wildfires burn up Microsft’s carbon offsets.
8. Ex-Blackrock sustainability investing chief says ESG investing is nonsense.
9. Federal Reserve staff pulls rug out from Fed move into climate.
10. Americans are not interested in paying extra for climate."

** "Climate is the left’s substitute for religion, and politicians are making Californians martyrs to the cause. The main point seems to be suffering in the name of anti-carbon virtue, because that suffering hasn’t done much to reduce emissions."

(12/28/21) reports: "China, under fire for approving new coal power stations as other countries try to curb greenhouse gases, has completed the first 1,000-megawatt unit of the Shanghaimiao plant, the biggest of its kind under construction in the country. Its operator, the Guodian Power Shanghaimiao Corporation, a subsidiary of the central government-run China Energy Investment Corporation, said on Tuesday that the plant's technology was the world's most efficient, with the lowest rates of coal and water consumption. China is responsible for more than half of global coal-fired power generation and is expected to see a 9% year-on-year increase in 2021, an International Energy Agency report published this month said."
