[1]Bowman for Congress
John — today, we
want to take a moment to celebrate.
2021 was an eventful year from start to finish, and it was also Jamaalʼs
first year in Congress. Weʼre proud of all that weʼve been able to
accomplish during our first year in Washington, so we wanted to take a
moment to share some of the things that weʼve been able to do in Congress
thus far — all because of your support.
But before we do, John,
we have to respectfully ask if youʼd be
able to help us out with a donation to our campaign. Weʼre just TWO days
away from our end-of-year fundraising deadline and reaching our
fundraising goal of $75,000.
[ [link removed] ]Itʼs our very last chance to build a strong foundation before heading
into a competitive re-election year, and we need all hands on deck. Will
you please chip in?

Here are a few things Jamaal has been able to accomplish thus far in
Congress:
✅ Introduced his first piece of legislation during his first week in
Congress — the Congressional Oversight of Unjust Policing (COUP) Act
— which inspired the introduction of a 9/11-style investigation into the
January 6th attack on the Capitol.
✅ Worked with state and local government officials in New York to open
up COVID-19 vaccine clinics in New Yorkʼs 16th District, the first
epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic in the United States.
✅ Stood on the front lines with Amazon workers in Bessemer, AL as they
fought for better working conditions.
✅ Drafted and advocated for the Care for All Agenda and challenged
President Biden to expand care infrastructure investment, consistently
bringing the progressive perspective to the White House.
✅ Introduced even more legislation, including but not limited to: the
Green New Deal for Public Schools, the Broadband Justice Act, the Public
Power public utilities resolution with Rep. Cori Bush, and the African
American History Act.
✅ Stood in front of the Capitol with Rep. Cori Bush and housing
organizers to demand an extension of the eviction moratorium.
✅ Delivered the Working Families Party response to President Bidenʼs
speech to Congress, and pushed the Biden administration to be
accountable to the people that voted them in.
✅ Held the line for and passed the Build Back Better Act in the House,
while continuing to push back against status quo politicians like Sen.
Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, urging them to vote on the landmark
legislation.
John, thatʼs
just scratching the surface — and itʼs all been possible because of the
support youʼve given. And best of all, this is just the beginning of our
work in Washington.
2022 is in just three days. We need to continue growing our progressive
movement, making sure Jamaal can focus 100% of his time on putting forth
bold legislation, and gearing up our campaign for whatʼs looking like a
competitive re-election.
Thatʼs why our campaign has a goal of raising $75,000 by the end of the
year at midnight. Weʼre striving to meet that goal so we can head into
2022 — a competitive re-election year for our campaign and for our larger
progressive movement — with the strongest foundation possible.
Your contribution supports Jamaalʼs leadership, and to make sure he can
stay fighting for the progressive agenda in Congress for years to come.

right now[ [link removed] ],
John. This is our final chance
to end our first year in Congress with a strong foundation to grow — and
to be able to submit the strongest numbers possible to the FEC. So, if
youʼre able to make your first donation of the month to our campaign
today, weʼd greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
