I wanted to share this photo of my family with you, friend. 

On the left, there's my dad. In the middle, there's me (yes, that's me!). And on the right, that's my mom. 

My mother is remarkable, friend. And not just because she actually sewed the snappy blue dress I have on and her skirt. You see, because my dad served in the Air Force, we moved around a lot. But in every city and base we moved to, one of the first things my mother did was join the local chapter of the League of Women Voters. And she was active in the fight for the ERA – advocating for everyone to have equal rights.

It's no exaggeration to say that my mom's work inspires me today, especially in my work advocating for women's rights in Congress. Just like my mom, I'm of the firm belief that "women's issues" shouldn't be siloed off into their own little corner: They're human issues, economic issues, labor issues – the list goes on, friend. 

That's why I've fought so hard to include paid family leave and expanded Pre-K in the Build Back Better framework. And that's why I advocated for investing money in supporting women's health all around the world. I know that our economy is only strong when everyone gets to participate in it – and that just isn't the case right now. We need someone who will fight for legislation that makes progress for everyone – someone like my mom and someone like me, friend.

But right now, the GOP is dead-set on flipping this battleground seat and the House red. There have already been digital, TV, and radio ads attacking me. And now, PA Republicans are pushing forward with gerrymandering that would make this battleground district significantly more conservative than in 2020.
