We are in a little bit of a dilemma, and I need your help.

My team and I just had a meeting to discuss what funds we have available to respond to the nasty attack ads that have been running against me over the holidays. Multiple friends told me they’ve spotted the ads!

This isn’t the GOP’s first attack, either. They’ve put up negative billboards in my district too.

Unfortunately, we are already behind on fundraising for the month, and I had to decide if we had enough resources to fight back against these latest attacks with additional ads of our own.

I’ve come up against this kind of choice a couple of times now, and I always think that it’s better to go bigger than wish we had done more. So, I told my team to add an additional $5,000 to our advertising budget, but I also don’t want this to detract from our next fundraising report.

That’s why I’m coming to you, John. Will you step up and make a rapid response donation before our critical end-of-year FEC deadline so we can fight back now and not have to wait until the New Year in order to start reaching voters?
