Kentucky just did the unthinkable and elected a Democratic governor — showing that when a strong candidate is on the ballot, Democrats can defeat incumbent Republicans in the reddest areas.

Instead of doing right by the American people, McConnell has continued his work to rip health care away from millions of Americans, rush through Trump’s right-wing judges to the bench, and stall meaningful action on the climate crisis. But if this victory showed us anything, it’s that we have what it takes to stop him for good.
