Subject: We’re making a more peaceful world together

Peace is a familiar theme this time of year, my friend. It’s central to the spirit of the season, written on holiday cards, woven into our wishes and prayers for the year to come.

But beyond well-wishes and season’s greetings, the reality is that making a more peaceful world requires work, personal commitment, and critical resources.

Will you make your tax-deductible donation right now to support Mercy Corps’ efforts to foster peace, good health, and economic prosperity in the year ahead?
Nandy shows off her community’s new grain mill, provided as a “peace dividend” upon completion of conflict resolution training and trauma healing sessions.
In Uganda, where communities face daily threats of livestock raids and violent attacks from rivals, Mercy Corps is helping to foster more peaceful relations by leading collaborative discussions and trauma healing sessions that aim to halt the cycle of attack and reprisal.

Community member Nandy shared, "Before the trauma healing sessions, we had plans of revenge, but because of the trainings... we decided to forgive them and reconcile with them and now we are living peacefully with our neighbor." Nandy’s community has even begun sharing its grain mill with their neighbors.

This is the sort of locally focused, lasting impact that Mercy Corps makes in communities around the world with the help of your support.

Will you join this Matching Gift Challenge by making a tax-deductible gift right now? A group of donors has contributed $400,000 to inspire people like you to match their gifts as we head into 2022.

I look forward to working together to make our wishes for peace in 2022 come true for millions more people across the world.
