In the lead up to January 6th, Ron Johnson stood behind Donald Trump’s election fraud lies and helped sow doubt in our democratic process.

Ultimately, his lies inspired a pro-Trump mob to decend upon our nation’s capitol on January 6th, where rioters killed capitol police officers in attempt to stop the certification of the 2020 election results.

Following that day’s events, Ron Johnson voted to acquit Trump of all wrong-doing, blocked the creation of an independent commission to investigate January 6th, and lied to the American public, claiming that January 6th “didn’t seem like an armed insurrection” to him.

Again and again, Ron Johnson has chosen to put party over country by turning his back on the American people. Ron Johnson has never taken responsibility for his role in the insurrection. In fact, he’s turned himself into an unapologetic Trump loyalist, and has spent the past year trying to gaslight the American people into believing that the January 6 insurrection never happened.
