Dear John,
The happiest part of my day is when I can find a moment to just sit and watch my daughter, Mila, be herself. And at 3 years old, she does everything at top speed! She loves to swing and run around the playground, play with her toys and her kitty. But when I was 20 weeks pregnant and received Mila's diagnosis, I would not have been able to imagine a child so full of life as she is today.
Mila was born with her right hand and forearm missing. And while there was no way of knowing what caused Mila's condition—it was clear what it meant. My daughter was going to have to manage her life with a limb difference. I was worried it would be hard, but Children's Hospital Los Angeles has been with us every step of the way.
Make your tax-deductible gift of $10 or more
now to the Children's Fund to have every dollar DOUBLED for kids like my daughter, Mila.
Even with a limb difference, Mila is sweet, energetic and active—doing normal kid stuff.
At Children's Hospital Los Angeles, we've been able to join the Center for Achievement of Teen and Children with Hand Differences (CATCH) program and get the support of other families and kids in the community.
The CATCH program has helped Mila grow up to be confident—never having to hide who she is, a great and happy kid.
Children's Hospital Los Angeles is helping families raise kids who can live and thrive in the world, no matter what their medical needs are. When you
donate a tax-deductible gift of $10 or more now, your impact is DOUBLED by Credit Unions for Kids to make an even bigger difference for kids like Mila receiving the unique care that CHLA offers.
I am immensely grateful for what Mila and I have found here. And I know that Children's Hospital Los Angeles is only able to do what they do best because of people like you.
I'm not just grateful for Children's Hospital Los Angeles, but for folks like you reading this message. Please make your
year-end gift of $10 or more today and have it go 2X as far for kids like Mila.
Sincerely,
|
