Remembering January 6th We are approaching the first anniversary of a dark day for the American republic.
On Thursday, January 6th, the MCDC Elected Officials Caucus and the League of Women Voters will be co-sponsoring a candlelight vigil to Stand Up for the Democracy beginning at 6:30 pm at the Morristown Town Hall.
This is an event that goes beyond the Democratic Party and speaks to the values of a democratic system of government (note the lower case d). Three Kings Day Toy Drive
We're looking for 12 volunteers to help us conduct contactless deliveries of toys to underserved families in Morris County on the 12th Day of Christmas.
Long before January 6th was seared into our memory as a near death experience for the American Dream, January 6th has been the Day of Epiphany or Three Kings Day! In much of Latin America, this is celebrated as the day the Three Kings presented the baby Jesus with their gifts.
This year on Three Kings Day, we're partnering with the Morris County Organization for Hispanic Affairs (MCOHA) to deliver donated toys to the families served by the MCOHA. Between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, from January 3rd-6th, the MCOHA can use your help to deliver some holiday cheer. Follow the link below to sign up and find out more details about Three Kings Day and the MCOHA Toy Drive.
