Democrats just WON THE MAJORITY in the Virginia House -- after winning an
"upset" in Kentucky Governor race. This gives our side more power over
everything from redistricting to worker rights to health care.

Imagine how good it will feel one year from now if progressive sweep
elections everywhere! Tonight, we're proudly endorsing our first big slate
of congressional endorsements!

[ [link removed] ]Read about them below and please donate $1 or more to each of their
campaigns! They need early support. Click here.

Many big Virginia winners attended our candidate training, supported by
grassroots supporters like you: Shelly Simonds (House-94), Sally Hudson
(House-57), Schuyler VanValkenburg (House-72), Wendy Gooditis (House-10),
and others!

In 2020 races, we must do 3 things:

* Flip more red seats blue with bold progressives Kara Eastman (NE-2),
J.D. Scholten (IA-4), and Dana Balter (NY-24), and Stephen Smith
(WV-Gov).
* Keep seats we flipped blue in 2018 by re-electing bold progressive
Reps. Katie Porter (CA-45) and Mike Levin (CA-49).
* Prepare to help a progressive president be effective by replacing more
conservative Democrats in blue districts with more AOC allies...by
electing Jess Cisneros (TX-28) over Henry Cuellar, Arati Kreibich
(NJ-5) over Josh Gottheimer, Morgan Harper (OH-3) over Joyce Beatty,
and Marie Newman (IL-3) over Dan Lipinski.

year, please support this slate of bold progressive champions. They need
your support early.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.

Here's more on the rest of the big slate we announced tonight:

[ [link removed] ]FLIP THESE SEATS BLUE!

Kara Eastman (NE-2) is a bold progressive hero who came 1 point away in
2018 from defeating a Republican incumbent in Nebraska without any real
help from the DCCC. She received nearly $300,000 in support from PCCC
members and attended our national training! She's running on Medicare For
All and decided to run for Congress when her mom had cancer and had to pay
$2,500 per pill. Kara's proving you can run ANYWHERE on a bold progressive
message and win. [ [link removed] ]Support Kara here.

J.D. Scholten (IA-4) is a populist former baseball player who came 3
points from defeating white nationalist Congressman Steve King in 2018!
J.D. says "a Green New Deal to pursue environmental justice, create jobs,
improve infrastructure, and combat climate change must bring rural
communities to the decision-making table and address Big Ag monopolies
that are squeezing out small and family farmers." He tells supporters, "If
you're lucky enough to be in the 1%, this government is working for you"
and that America must move toward a goal of Medicare For All, ensuring
that all Americans have comprehensive, affordable, and quality health care
coverage. [ [link removed] ]Support J.D. here.

Dana Balter (NY-24) is a bold progressive champion who is fighting for a
fair shot at success for everyone -- that means getting to Medicare for
All; an economy that works for working families; and a political system
free from the influence of big money. In one of the last two
Repbulican-held Hillary Clinton districts, Dana is just 2 1/2 points away
from defeating the incumbent who is a rubber stamp for Donald Trump,
making this a top pick-up opportunity in the country. [ [link removed] ]Support Dana
here.

Stephen Smith (WV-Gov): is a grassroots organizer running for Governor of
West Virginia -- and building a populist movement along the way. In the
last six years, he’s helped pass more than two dozen pieces of legislation
as an activist, including health insurance for 182,000 people. While
running for Governor, he's supporting many other candidates up and down
the ballot -- investing in progressive infrastructure so he can lead a
movement in governing progressively. Senator Joe Manchin was so fearful
that Smith would replace him as the most popular Democrat in West Virginia
that he considered running in the primary against him -- but abandoned
that idea. Smith’s running against Republican Governor Jim Justice, a
billionaire coal mine owner. [ [link removed] ]Support Stephen here.

[ [link removed] ]PROGRESSIVES FLIPPED THESE SEATS -- KEEP THEM BLUE!

Rep. Katie Porter (CA-45) regularly goes viral on YouTube by grilling big
corporate executives. As a single mom who spent years advocating for
consumers (like her mentor, Elizabeth Warren), she flipped a red district
by focusing on how issues impact real families. She is bold -- and was the
first red-to-blue freshman to call for impeachment. Katie says, "I’m
grateful to the Progressive Change Campaign Committee for all the
fundraising, volunteers, and support" in 2018 -- including over $165,000
through 13,000 donations to her campaign. [ [link removed] ]Support Katie's re-election!

Mike Levin (CA-49) flipped a longtime red seat as a proud "Warren wing"
Democrat. A longtime clean energy advocate, Mike was the first red-to-blue
freshman to support AOC on a Green New Deal. He also came out early for
impeachment and Medicare For All. Thousands of PCCC members helped him win
in 2018, and we need to keep Mike in Congress in 2020. [ [link removed] ]Support Mike's
re-election!

[ [link removed] ]A REAL PROGRESSIVE SHOULD REPRESENT THESE BLUE SEATS!

Jessica Cisneros (TX-28) is a bold progressive recruited by Justice
Democrats. Jessica is an immigration and human rights attorney who grew up
in the border town of Laredo, TX. As an attorney, she specialized in
representing people in immigration court as they faced deportation
proceedings while detained. She's running in a very blue district against
Congressman Henry Cuellar, known as "Trump's favorite Democrat." Cuellar
has an A-rating from the NRA, consistently votes with big corporations,
and was one of the last Dems in Congress to support impeachment. Jess is a
community leader who supports Medicare For All, a Green New Deal, and
other progressive priorities. [ [link removed] ]Support Jess Cisneros here.

Morgan Harper (OH-3) was a senior adviser at Elizabeth Warren's Consumer
Financial Protection Bureau. The NY Times reports "there are similarities
between Ms. Harper, 36, and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New
York" as she campaigns against "economic segregation." Last quarter,
Morgan raised a whopping $333,000 in grassroots donations -- $80,000 more
than the incumbent who accused Morgan of raising “false hope” by backing
Medicare For All and the Green New Deal. [ [link removed] ]Support Morgan Harper here.

Arati Kreibich (NJ-5) is challenging one of AOC's top antagonists in the
Democratic Caucus, corporate conservative Josh Gottheimer. Gottheimer
organized other conservative Democrats to kill attempts to end child cages
at the border -- an absurd position for someone representing a suburb of
New York. He is funded by Wall Street and votes their way. Arati won
election as a progressive City Councilwoman, attended our candidate
training, and is fighting for Medicare For All, Green New Deal and
challenging big-money special interests. [ [link removed] ]Support Arati here.

Marie Newman (IL-3) is running on Medicare For All, equal rights, and
building an economy that works for everyone. She is running against
pro-corporate, anti-choice, anti-LGTBQ rights "Democratic" Congressman Dan
Lipinski in a deep blue district Clinton won by 15 points. Lipinski
inherited this seat from his father and then voted against Obamacare,
voted to deregulate Wall Street, chairs the Pro-Life Caucus, and was the
only Democrat in Congress to oppose an LGBTQ equality bill. Marie is
running on Medicare For All, reproductive rights, and equal rights.
Thousands of PCCC members donated to her last cycle when she came about 1%
away from defeating Lipinski -- and over 2,000 have already donated to
help her finish the job. [ [link removed] ]Support Marie here.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told PCCC members, "The majority of Americans are with us on the policies. Americans support Medicare for All, expanding Social Security benefits, gun reform, debt-free college, and a $15 minimum wage. Bold progressive values are popular EVERYWHERE. Together, we have the people. Together, with your help, we’ll have the votes." Chip in $3 here: [link removed]
