1. About six months from now, the Supreme Court may overturn or dismantle Roe v. Wade. If that happens, abortion access could end for about half the country. It will be a historic reversal of our individual rights, harming millions of people.
2. Abortion is already out of reach for many, many people. Patients are forced to travel long distances, even out of state, to get the care they need — and that's if they can afford it. Systemic racism and coercive reproductive policies mean the burden of abortion bans fall hardest on Black, Latino, and Indigenous communities, people with disabilities, people in rural areas, young people, immigrants, and those with low incomes.
