John,

SEEC House member, Tim Ryan, is running for the U.S. Senate in Ohio — and we’re proud to support him!

The Senate race is an open race, and the non-partisan, highly respected Cook Political Report has moved it from the Republican column to ‘Toss-Up.’

Flipping the seat from red to blue would secure and expand the Democratic majority in the Senate. It would allow Democrats to pass currently stalled legislation directly tackling climate change and protecting the environment.

Meanwhile, the Republicans running in the GOP primary for the Senate seat are walking, talking disasters on climate change.

Endeavoring to align themselves with Donald Trump and his MAGA supporters, the Republican candidates are fighting over who can be worse for the climate.

Former Ohio Treasurer and far-right favorite Josh Mandel recently said that while the climate may change, humans have nothing to do with it. One of Mandel’s opponents, Jane Timken, stated the Green New Deal was a “Trojan Horse to socialism.”

John, we don’t need and can’t afford more climate change deniers in Congress. The scientific evidence is clear and speaks for itself. Tim Ryan must win this seat, add his voice, and vote for immediate climate change action in the U.S. Senate.

Can you pitch in immediately to help elect Tim Ryan and other SEEC members to the House and the Senate in 2022?

Our country doesn’t need elected officials who deny the obvious simply to garner votes and play to the ego of a former president.

We need lawmakers willing to step up and fight to protect our planet from climate change. That’s why we’re proud to support SEEC member Tim Ryan for the U.S. Senate in Ohio.

We hope you will too.
