Hey John – great news from Virginia! All our out LGBTQ state legislative incumbents won their reelection campaigns!

Delegates Danica Roem, Dawn Adams, Mark Levine and Mark Sickles, as well as Senator Adam Ebbin, were all victorious tonight! This ensures Virginia’s LGBTQ community will continue to have five key LGBTQ voices to fight for equality and fend off bigoted attacks in the year ahead.

With everything from redistricting to health care to common-sense gun legislation on the line, we couldn’t afford to lose these races. And to lose any of our incumbents would have been a devastating setback. Thanks to you, however, today we celebrate instead.

But we’ve got more work to do. The 2020 cycle OFFICIALLY starts now. With LGBTQ candidates running for everything from U.S. president to local school boards, we must begin mobilizing on behalf our candidates immediately.
