Danica made history tonight as the first openly trans state legislator to win reelection – ever. And this victory is particularly sweet: Danica ran against one of the biggest bigots of 2019. Her opponent Kelly McGinn took contributions from some of the most prominent anti-LGBTQ activists in the state and her allies launched an anti-trans online ad targeting Danica in the final weeks of the campaign. Kelly McGinn didn’t deserve to hold public office, and Virginia voters agreed!
