Hi John, it's Cynthia Nixon.
New York is my home. It's the place I've lived my whole life, and the city in which I've been lucky to raise my family.
I love my city, John, and I love my state.
But for way too long, corporate politicians on both sides of the aisle have let us down. Here in my state, we've seen corporate Democrats join Republicans to abandon those of us most in need of support and block key progressive legislation. And nationwide, we're seeing Democrats in Congress struggle to pass a broadly popular people's agenda even with majorities in Congress.
That's why we need the Working Families Party more than ever.
When I started organizing for full and fair education funding, I saw quickly that change will not happen unless you fight for it. When I challenged a sitting Democratic governor in a primary calling for a government that worked for all of us, WFP was right by my side.
And over the last few years, the WFP has won important fights nationwide, all while building up the kind of independent, progressive infrastructure we need to truly take on the corporate status quo in politics.
I'm proud to be a WFP member and a part of this movement for the many, not the few. Before we head into 2022, will you join me in giving your support to the Working Families Party? Just a $3 donation will help reach their end of year goal and jumpstart the grassroots, on-the-ground organizing that can make a real difference in next year's midterm elections:

This work that we're doing together is about more than just one bill, or one election.
It's about building a party — and a country — of our dreams. A country where housing is truly affordable. A country with single-payer health care. A country free from mass incarceration. A country whose families are protected from deportation. A country that takes care of our planet. A country for all of us.
But to make this vision a reality, we need everyone to pitch in. Click here to join me in making an end-of-year donation to the Working Families Party now, and take a stand for the many, not the few.
All my best,
Cynthia
