LAST CHANCE TO SUPPORT OUR APPEAL BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE

Hello John, this is the BIG one. It’s your final chance to go LARGE and Save Africa’s Giants. After the excitement of Christmas, this is your golden opportunity to end the year with a gift for good.

For the tallest animals on Earth are under monstrous threat. Majestic giraffes and magnificent elephants have no defence against poachers’ guns, snares and spears. These peaceful, sensitive family animals are brutally persecuted, tormented and killed.

Our current appeal to protect two of Africa’s most iconic animals is coming to a close – could you help us pull giraffes and elephants back from the brink? Every single pound you give will help save these beautiful animals. YOU can Save Africa's Giants ( [link removed] ) by helping us reach our £70,000 target (current total £40,731 thanks to your kind donations).

Your donation today will make a huge difference.

For these vast vegetarians face deadly peril. Illegal hunting and conflict with people are pushing elephants and giraffes to the brink. Human settlements have squeezed elephants into smaller spaces. Forced into close contact with people, their shrinking habitat results in dangerous and even deadly encounters due to crop raiding.

Since the Covid pandemic began, there has been a huge surge in poaching. Lethal wire snares are everywhere. Tragically, giraffes are especially vulnerable, their long limbs picking their way through the undergrowth. Snares cause unbearable wounds, leading to permanent injuries or slow agonising death.

But, there is tangible hope in Meru. Our conservation work for lions and rhinos has already had a BIG impact. With your support, our major new giraffe and elephant project can investigate the threats they face and find community-led solutions, such as beehive fences to protect crops and generate local income.

Our goals are ambitious, their scale vast. But if, like us, you are a conservation optimist, please share our vision for Born Free’s heartland. Let’s turn the tide for giraffes and elephants and stand tall for the giants of Africa by donating today.

Thank you for feeling as we do! Together we can save these iconic species ( [link removed] ).

With love and thanks from your wild friends at Born Free
