Sacramento is a city of progress and innovation and our city government is taking big strides to prove that. Earlier this year, our mayor, Darrell Steinberg, proposed a municipal “right to housing” and a parallel “obligation” for homeless people to accept shelter when it is offered.
California is an expensive place to live. We have a real problem with unaffordable housing and a very large homeless population as a result. In fact, a quarter of America’s homeless population resides in our home state. It doesn’t need to be that way, though. Doris and her team are incredibly pleased with the work that Mayor Steinberg is doing and she supports all efforts to make her home city more livable.
Democrats like Doris and Darrell stand for the people. After all, it is the party of the people. We want Doris to be able to continue supporting hometown Democrats like Darrell and collaborating with him to make sure our city gets no less than the best. Let’s make sure she can keep doing so.
