Hi folks,

I’m Justin, Michael’s campaign manager. We’re facing our final fundraising deadline of the year, so here’s a campaign update. I hope you’ll read through, then pitch in $10 before Friday’s end-of-year deadline to re-elect Michael to the Senate and keep Colorado blue.

WHERE WE ARE

Michael and our slim Democratic majority overcame Mitch McConnell’s obstruction in a big way this year. Michael secured a tax cut for working families in the form of monthly Child Tax Credit payments, which helped one million Colorado children and kept three million children out of poverty nationwide. 

Michael passed a historic expansion of high-speed internet access — the largest federal investment in our nation’s history. This will help Americans compete in the 21st century economy and bridge the digital divide in Colorado’s rural and Tribal communities. 

While Michael fights to make our economy work for everyone, our far-right opponents are plastering the state with misleading attack ads.

THE STATE OF THIS RACE

Last quarter, the National GOP raised $25 million to flip seats like Michael’s. And at the end of this year, we will have to publish Michael’s fundraising numbers. Everyone from our opponents to Mitch McConnell will pore over our numbers looking for weaknesses, so we have to prove we have a strong base of support. 

The GOP primary field is stacked with eight candidates already attacking Michael to gain an edge in their primary. Including: 

• An insurrectionist who’s proudly admitted to crossing the police line on January 6th and touted Trump’s Big Lie at a rally just a few weeks ago.
• A wealthy Trump appointee who opposes the expanded Child Tax Credit, which is reducing financial anxiety and the infrastructure bill that will create jobs.
• The third already gave his campaign about a quarter million dollars of his own fortune and hired a top Trump consultant to advise his campaign.

What it Takes to Win

Michael is running a grassroots-driven campaign.

To win this race and keep Colorado blue, Michael’s campaign has to reach and mobilize voters across the state while battling attacks from Michael’s opponents, from Mitch McConnell and from dark money groups. It’s expensive work and with the National GOP raking in millions, we can’t rest for a moment. 

Michael is counting on your support so he can continue fighting for Coloradans in the Senate. Right now we’re $6,330 short of our goal this quarter but we know this grassroots team can help us get back on track.
