Letting developers slash parking doesn’t get multi-tasking Californians out of their cars. Instead, developers profit more, while making family life much tougher.

Sacramento has created a public backlash in recent years, after crafting dozens of related laws that reduce community input, restrict city government powers, and shift local land-use and local zoning powers to the state. Developers, not people, are the winners.

Californians didn’t ask Sacramento to become a vast and distant City Hall that they can’t access.
