Here is a succinct explanation of why we have a year-end goal of raising $5,300: our work in Colorado is absolutely crucial for any chance of Democrats retaining control of the House next year—we will have a brand new tossup district that leans Biden +0.5%. This race is going to be as tight as it gets nationally.

The question we need to ask is: are we going to let the insurrectionists run Congress for the remaining two years of President Biden’s term? The very same people who either aided and abetted the Capitol rioters, or cheered them from the sidelines, will be given the keys to the place. What happens when Kevin McCarthy—a preening, weak-willed and power-obsessed D.C. careerist who supported the rioters, then faked outrage and denounced them on the House floor, and then switched back again to supporting them—decides who gets key Committee posts and what gets investigated, or not investigated?

Colorado is ground zero for determining the answer to this question. We can win here—but it will take investment in the message and the ground game to turn out our voters.
