We will remember 2021 as the year far-right Republicans and extremists, egged on by a crazed Donald Trump, attacked the U.S. Capitol and our democratic institutions across the country.

Right-wing media, led by Fox News, stridently promoted lies and frenzied fantasies.

Unvaccinated Americans died from COVID-19 because of a massive disinformation campaign. The year is ending with a prominent Fox News personality using the terms of gun violence to attack Dr. Anthony Fauci.

My family and I were at the top of the list for vicious attacks from Tucker Carlson, Kevin McCarthy, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and other dangerous nut jobs in 2021.

But here’s the deal, John: I’m not giving up. If anything, I’m more determined than ever to fight back against the radical, anti-democratic forces unleashed by a sore loser ex-president.
