Dear John,

October was a busy month for the Boundary Waters Action Fund! We are working hard to ensure that the Boundary Waters is a key issue discussed by candidates in the presidential race. Below is a digest of last month’s most pressing activities and news, and a description of the many ways you can get involved in protecting the Boundary Waters.

Updates from the Boundary Waters Action Fund

10 Presidential Candidates Have Committed to Protecting the Boundary Waters. The number of Democratic presidential candidates who have pledged to protect the Boundary Waters from sulfide-ore copper mining grew to ten, including Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, and Cory Booker.

Can you pitch in $5 to help us get our message out to more presidential candidates?

The Action Fund’s Campaign Work is Drawing Media AttentionMinnPost published an article about the Boundary Waters Action Fund’s work to educate presidential candidates about the threat to America’s most popular Wilderness.

Trump Made a Campaign Visit to Minnesota and Bragged About Endangering the Boundary Waters. Trump held a campaign rally in Minneapolis this month. In his speech, he shamelessly bragged about pushing risky copper mining near the Boundary Waters. Time and again, Trump makes it clear he wants America's most toxic industry next to the Boundary Waters. But we can stop him.

How can you get involved?

Follow us on Twitter and Facebook to stay up to date on our activities in Iowa and across the country. We're always looking for volunteers to share their love of the Boundary Waters and help tell people what makes this place so special. Email us if you’re interested in volunteering!

John, Will you please chip in $5 today to ensure a White House that will protect the Boundary Waters?
