This past year, Governor John Bel Edwards has been fighting harder than ever before for our state. Although self-serving politicians have opposed him every step of the way, he hasn't backed down. We're going to ask you to help us defend John Bel's achievements [[link removed]] from the past year, but first let us tell you a little bit about them.

We feel as though one of Gov. Edwards' biggest achievements has been his level-headed leadership through numerous unprecedented challenges that 2021 brought the people of Louisiana. From the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic to natural disasters, he has been a voice for the voiceless in these pressing times.

Coronavirus has taken the lives of so many in Louisiana, so when the vaccine launched this year Gov. Edwards jumped at the chance [[link removed]] to protect our state. Despite push back and the dangerous spread of misinformation, Louisiana's vaccine roll out ranked 10th in the country and our state is home to over 2.3 million fully vaccinated residents.

In 2021, Louisiana faced an onslaught of natural disasters. Hurricane Ida rocked the state, but Gov. Edwards demonstrated steady leadership [[link removed]] throughout the crisis. Before, during, and after the storm he fought to save lives and coordinate rescue operations, secure federal funding, provide critical recovery resources, and meet the needs of Louisianans across the state to build back better than before.
