As soon as Biden was inaugurated, we launched our Undeniable campaign — with a list of demands for Democrats to take full advantage of their legislative trifecta.
We demanded citizenship for all 11 million undocumented people, defunding ICE and CBP, immediate protections for our people, inclusive COVID-19 relief, and a moratorium on immigration enforcement.
Thanks to the financial support of this grassroots team, we mobilized immigrant youth in Washington, DC to take our action all the way to Congress. Our advocacy helped secure historic victories for immigrant communities.
We helped pass the Dream and Promise Act and Farm Workforce Modernization Act in the House — legislation that provides a pathway to citizenship for millions of immigrant youth.
And we fought to include immigration in the House’s version of the Build Back Better bill. But with Democratic Senator Joe Manchin standing in the way of this legislation — and with it a pathway to citizenship — as well as the Parliamentarian advising against including immigration in the bill, it's clear our job is not finished.
