Hi team,

Some of you may know me already, but if you don’t, my name is Yvette D. Clarke and I proudly represent New York’s 9th Congressional District. I am also the only Black woman to represent New York in the House of Representatives.

As we reach the end of the year, my friend Stacey Plaskett and I are preparing ahead for 2022, the challenges that it will bring, and also thinking back on the incredible year we had.

We did incredible work this year, from expediting the vaccine and nearly cutting child poverty in half, to fighting for voting rights, criminal justice reform and making significant progress for the Caribbean. Stacey and I fought hard for what is going to help our communities the most, while pushing back against GOP extremists and other corporate-backed interests.

But as we head into 2022 and defend our razor-thin House majority, Stacey and I need you by our side to help us continue the fight. So if you are in a position to do so, please split a contribution between our two campaigns to help us kickstart our end-of-year fundraising goals! [[link removed]]

You don’t need to hear it from me that Stacey is a true trailblazer. Earlier this year, we all watched her make history and become the first delegate from a U.S. territory to serve as an impeachment manager during Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial, and she was actually the only Black woman in the Senate Chamber during that trial.

Being the only Black woman from New York’s congressional delegation, I can relate to the historical importance of being the only or the first.

And so it is incredibly important that our voices stay in Congress as Stacey and I continue leading the fight for equal rights, opportunity and justice for all in Washington, just like our Black sisters who blazed the trail before us.

Will you contribute a split donation between our campaigns today to keep our unique voices in Congress and help us protect our razor-thin majority? [[link removed]]

Thanks so much,
Yvette D. Clarke

Stacey Plaskett wasn't afraid to stand up to Donald Trump during his second impeachment trial. Representing the U.S. Virgin Islands, she is ready to continue speaking truth to power, putting people over politics and finally achieving full statehood for Puerto Rico, D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and any territory ready for full inclusion in America. Will you contribute now to help Stacey make more history in Washington D.C.? Stacey isn't done making history, and she needs your help to keep fighting. But if you'd like to unsubscribe: [link removed] , we understand.
