Friend,
I’ve been thinking about the gifts we’ve been blessed with this year, but not the ones under the tree.
YOU are a cherished gift to us at VOA, and more importantly to the people whose lives your compassion has changed.
After his service in the Army, Jose struggled deeply with civilian life, ending up on the streets and in prison. His world changed when he found VOA. With shelter, counseling and support, Jose regained his dignity and purpose. Now healthy and independent, he gives back as a peer support specialist, a first-responder type helping others who struggle to find purpose and a better life.
Your love for neighbor changes lives. Please make your year end donation.
Because of compassion like yours, VOA was there for Jose. And now, Jose is there for men and women who just needed someone to care. Before the year is out, I hope you'll join this powerful circle of love, whether it's your first gift, or your continued support of this critical work in our communities.
if you can, please donate before Dec.31. Our staff right now are reporting steep increases in urgent needs across communities. Some families are hungry or homeless for the first time, from rising prices and economic impacts.
Thank you for all you do and God bless!
Mike King, President & CEO Volunteers of America
P.S. Don't forget, your gift still goes TWICE as far, thanks to a generous donor who’s matching donations this holiday up to $50,000.
