John, Right now, there are just four days left until our campaign’s biggest deadline of the year, so I hope you’ll let me take a minute to explain why your support matters now more than ever. Growing up, I never in a million years imagined I would someday run for office. But that changed when I witnessed the violent attack on our Capitol last January and the deliberate attempt to undermine our democracy. Even worse, our own Representative Brian Fitzpatrick did little to address it, refusing to vote to impeach Donald Trump for his incitement of the insurrection. But that’s just one of many problems our district, our state, and our country face. It’s 2021 and people are still struggling to feed their families, give their kids a good education, and pay for their health care. The minimum wage has been stuck at $7.25 here in PA, and for the first time in years, young people have it worse off than their parents did. With Fitzpatrick failing to deliver for working families here in PA-01, I decided to run and be part of the solution. And even since I launched this campaign, we’ve witnessed alarming attacks on our rights to vote and reproductive choice by the GOP. It’s got to stop. Together, we can change things for the better and create a government that actually works for the people. But we have our work cut out for us going up against an incumbent with $1.5 million in his war chest. That’s where you come in. This campaign depends on small-dollar grassroots donations from everyday people like you, and right now, we’re $4,732 short of our end-of-year goal.
