We’re glad to share some good news this holiday season, John.Off the coast of South Carolina, a North Atlantic right whale was spotted with her newborn calf!
The newest member of this critically endangered species comes with great joy and relief. Fewer than 100 adult females remain as the population has quickly declined in the past decade.
That’s why we’re celebrating this news with action to protect this at-risk species. Add your name to show your support for the right whale and their latest addition to the family.

We'll tell you, John; this mother is a fighter. She has survived six known fishing net entanglements – a major threat to the right whale’s fight for survival. We could not be more thrilled to see she has a new calf despite the challenges she’s faced.
Between fish entanglements, slicing propellers, and boat strikes, right whales have many obstacles to overcome. That’s why SEEC members are fighting to protect our oceans so critically endangered species like the North Atlantic right whale survive and thrive. So join us in celebrating the birth of this right whale calf and show your support for protecting our oceanic wildlife.
