Hey John,

Since it’s the last week of the year, I made some resolutions: 1) Stop pluralizing words when I’m only referring to one thing.

But I also made some resolutions for Scott Franklin, because, well, have you been watching what he’s done this year?

So before we get to my resolutions for 2022, here’re some for Scott (take note, Scott!):

- Stop attempting to overthrow free & fair elections.

- Stop undermining democracy by perpetuating dangerous conspiracy theories and supporting real-life armed insurrections (yeah, that really happened this year).

- Stop attacking every person’s right to choose by trying to outlaw abortions.

- Stop voting against the most basic needs of constituents, including COVID-19 relief, expansion of worker protections, expansion of voting rights, and climate change reform (even though some of the most vulnerable areas in the country are right here in Florida! But you already knew that).

I’d go on, but that’s quite enough irresponsibility for one email, and it’s the holidays, and I have some pressing appointments with multiple pie.

My New Year’s resolution? Very simple: Stop insurrectionist Scott Franklin from spending another term in Congress doing all of the things I just listed above. Instead, let’s work for the things that Floridians actually want, like climate justice, universal health care, and protecting our democracy.

We’ve got a crucial end-of-year FEC deadline at midnight on December 31, and my team set an ambitious goal of raising $15,000 in online grassroots donations before then — can you make a donation of any amount now to help us get there?

Thanks so much,

Eddie
