Which is exactly the work that Jonta Saragih, OutRight's Indonesia Program Officer, is doing. Based in the capital city of Indonesia, Jakarta, Jonta knows how isolated members of the LGBTIQ community outside urban centers can be when spread out amongst hundreds of islands.
That's why his latest initiative of empowering individuals with leadership skills in local communites in order to advance LGBTIQ rights in their respective region, is so important.
