Arena Community,

Campaigns are a lot like startups. In just a few months they go from bold ideas to robust operations, raising money, hiring staff, and contacting voters.

Campaigns are often launched from someone’s kitchen table, and the first campaign staffers work to set up websites, reporting systems, data targeting, email programs, and more. Many times, they do this from scratch with limited knowledge about technical and data operations.

A little bit of code to automate a process, the data skills to build a progress to goal dashboard, or the skills to build an eye-catching website can save precious time and help the campaign make smarter decisions and better impressions on voters.

That’s why we’re hosting a one-of-a-kind training, Tech to Elections: Campaigns 101 for Tech Workers. This is a 2.5-day virtual training from Jan. 20-22 designed to help tech and data workers learn how to apply their skills to campaigns.

With everything going on in Washington, it’s clear that our paper thin Democratic majority is not enough to make progress. We need to elect more Democrats so we can change who really holds power. Embedding tech and data workers on campaigns to help them use tools and data more effectively is one important piece of what it will take.

If you know someone who works in tech or data, forward them this email and ask them to apply by January 4.

Let them know that by working or volunteering on a campaign, they could be the difference between a win or a loss, and that can make a huge impact on our country.

And, of course, if you work in tech or data please apply.

Happy holidays!
