Dear John,
If we could've had the holiday season we longed for, it would have been different for many of us. We would have been joined, in joyful celebration, by the loved ones who couldn't be with us this year — some unable to gather due to challenges of the pandemic, and others who are living with or who have been lost to Alzheimer's disease.
But during this special season of giving, there's much we can do TOGETHER. You can still make 3X the difference in the fight to end Alzheimer's — to provide Alzheimer's care and support to the more than 6 million Americans living with the disease and their caregivers, and to advance critical research — but only until December 31.
That's because a generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous, and who understands it will take all of us in this fight to end Alzheimer's, has pledged the funds to create this $200,000 Year-End Triple Match. And their incredible generosity will support the Tau Pipeline Enabling Program (T-PEP), a funding initiative to accelerate drug development breakthroughs that could help mitigate the toxic effects of tau protein "tangles" in the brain.
But this match challenge is only available until the end of the year. That only gives you five more days to make your gift — up to $200,000 — while it can go 3X as far. And just five days to make a gift that may be tax-deductible for 2021.
Knowing how much our work means to you, based on the strong interest you've taken in our work, I'm hoping you'll seize this opportunity to achieve 3X the impact toward our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
As we look to the end of the year, we want to feel hope.
Please do your part to help us achieve a future without Alzheimer's and all other dementias by giving now, while your gift can go 3X as far. |

Today, Alzheimer's has no cure. But there is hope — hope that we feel in our hearts and in the actions we take together.
Every day at the Alzheimer's Association, we learn of significant progress being made through the more than 750 research projects we're funding in 39 countries — with your help. The financial support of people like you makes it possible to accelerate and even expand research that can lead to improved diagnostic tools, earlier diagnoses, improved treatments — and, ultimately, a cure.
You're also helping provide crucial resources to families affected by Alzheimer's and to devoted caregivers, who need to know that we're all doing our part to help put an end to this devastating disease.
By sending your gift today, you can have an immediate impact on:
- Supporting the more than 11 million Alzheimer's caregivers, many of whom are family members.
- Providing support every day for people living with Alzheimer's or another dementia through our free 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900) and online resources at alz.org.
- Advocating for policies that will increase federal Alzheimer's research funding and support those impacted by the disease.
Please contribute now to help achieve our vision of a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia with your year-end gift that can go three times further in our fight.
Sincerely,
Donna McCullough
Chief Mission and Field Operations Officer
P.S. I offer you my best wishes of the season and for the new year. Please make your gift that can have 3X the impact on Alzheimer's care, support and research. Thank you.
