There’s still time to enter this competition.

Barnet Enfield and Haringey MH Trust have been working for the last 4 years with Inclusion Barnet to put person centred care at the heart of what they do. Inclusion Barnet have helped BEH develop their Recovery Strategy by coproducing it with people who use services. This is the first ever Recovery Strategy for the Trust.

We’re helping the Trust launch the Recovery Strategy and Programme of work next year and we need YOU to tell us what Recovery means to you. We want ideas for logos and straplines, and for the Trust to hear your views. There will be prizes for a large selection of artists on the shortlist and the chance for the winner to work with a professional designer to create the finished logo. For more details please see the Enablement pages on the Trust website and the poster above.

Wellbeing Arts & Crafts Group, Tuesday 4 January, 2.30pm

Arts & Crafts is an informal social session where you can gather to work on your own arts and crafts and enjoy some company.  Run by NHS Wellbeing (Norfolk and Waveney) but all welcome.

Mindfulness for Health and Wellbeing, Thursday 30 December, 7.00 - 8.00pm

Martsang Kagyu London Buddhist Centre’s free online guided meditation classes follow an ancient tradition of mindfulness meditation that originates from the Buddha’s teachings.

Classes are suitable for beginners (Buddhist or non-Buddhist) and those who are more familiar with meditation.

Eat, Exercise, Energise, Tuesday 28 December, 5.30 - 6.30pm

Weekly group session to understand how to make healthier lifestyle decisions and therefore improve your mental health.

Something for the Weekend, Thursdays, 12.00 - 1.00pm

Something for the Weekend is an interactive Disability Arts show produced by Together! 2012 CIC and aimed at everyone whose access to the outside world is limited by Covid-19, health conditions or caring commitments. The show is hosted by Disabled artists Ju Gosling aka ju90 and Julie Newman from East London and Robin Surgeoner and Tracy Surgeoner from the West Midlands, with regular presenter Sterre Ploeger and random appearances by anarchic cats and assistance dogs. All of the hosts and presenters are additionally vulnerable to Covid-19.

Building Friendship

Building Friendship is a free weekly drop in every Friday for those with mental health difficulties.

Meet at East Barnet Baptist Church hall, EN4 8PS.  Come along for a cup of coffee and a friendly chat between 10am and 12noon.

Mind and Mood Support Group

Mind & Mood Support Group has returned to face to face meetings at 55 Christchurch Avenue, London N12 0DG.  To enquire about becoming a new member, please contact either Peter or Sandra below.

We are a Peer-Led Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation (DDPO).

Nearly all of our directors and staff have lived experience of disability, including mental health issues and/or long-term health conditions.

We believe that learning to use our lived experience for social change is a skill. We have become experts in harnessing the lived experience of our staff, members, volunteers and the people who use our services to design and deliver higher quality, more person-centred services.
