You may have noticed that we've been sending more emails lately asking you to donate to our climate movement. I think you deserve to understand why — especially this week — your contribution is so important. Please give me a chance to clarify:

1. In a few days we will be closing the books on 2021 and where we end up will determine the amount of resources we have to run climate campaigns around the globe.
2. We are up against the richest and most politically entrenched special interest groups who have unlimited sums of money to lobby politicians.
3. Our people-powered climate movement is funded by tens of thousands of grassroots donors, chipping in from emails just like this one.

So with time running out before the end of the year to hit our goal of $850,000, I hope you can understand why I am asking:

Can I count on you to make a contribution today to help us grow our climate movement in every corner of the globe?

From this point on, the fight against the fossil industry will only get harder. Our opponents will only continue pouring more and more money into governments around the world to protect the status quo. But if tens of thousands of supporters like you are able to donate, we will be in a very strong position to fight back.
