I've worked alongside Val for years. She's brilliant. She’s tough. She’s exactly the kind of leader we desperately need in the Senate. And that Floridians desperately need fighting for them. She's got a really good shot at beating Rubio and flipping this Senate seat blue – but she cannot do it alone. She needs supporters like you and me by her side.

Val Demings is the perfect person for the job. She's spent her whole life serving the people of Florida, first as a social worker, and then as Orlando's chief of police (the first woman to hold that position, may I add). While serving in the House, she's never tired of doing what's right – from advocating for affordable health care, to our important work together during the first impeachment trial of the most dangerous president we’ve ever seen. There's no question that her tenacious spirit belongs in the Senate. 

But our Senate majority is razor-thin at 50-50, and experts have already predicted that Senate control could all come down to who wins in Florida. If Val Demings loses, Mitch McConnell could flip the Senate – so this is a campaign every Democrat needs to help. Because we can’t let McConnell take over. We just can’t.

I wish I could say this will be an easy race, but the GOP is already doing whatever it takes to defend Rubio and attack Val: National Republicans just spent $10 million on on-the-ground organizers to stop Val and any other Democrat from winning in Florida ever again. 

The last Senate race in Florida was decided by a tiny margin, just 0.12 percent, that’s unheard of and extremely tight. Recent polls show this race is already in the margin of error. So what we do right now will make all the difference. That's why Val Demings needs your help to expand her grassroots campaign and reach every Floridian voter.
