I am no stranger to close elections.

In my first race for the Arizona State House, I won my primary by 445 votes. In my last race for the U.S. House of Representatives, I won by just over 1 percent of all ballots cast.

And in Mark’s coming re-election, I can tell you that it is going to be a very close race where every vote counts.

I also know that one of the hardest parts of any campaign is fundraising. But I am proud of the way Mark has raised money — from almost 1 million individual donors — a lot of them responding to emails like this one.

But Mark’s biggest challenge is right ahead of us: the final FEC fundraising deadline before the election year. And he really really needs your help. Because he cannot do it alone.
