I know I've said it before, but as I’ve reflected on this past year and the movement folks like you have helped build, it’s amazing to see what we’ve been able to accomplish in such a short amount of time.
I never pictured that thousands of folks would pitch in what they could to help build a grassroots campaign powered by real people.
I never pictured being endorsed by VoteVets, one of the biggest organizations who help veterans like me run for office.
I never pictured going up against the top Republican in Congress. But with people like you with me, I’ve never been more sure of it, either.
We do things a bit differently than Kevin McCarthy — well, there are many ways in which we differ, but here’s just one: from the start of this campaign, I’ve refused donations from corporations and corporate PACs.
