Just before the holiday, I like to have my kiddos reflect on the past year and their goals for the new year. With our final FEC end-of-quarter deadline on Friday, I thought it would be valuable for us to do that too.
It's hard to keep track of everything Kevin McCarthy has done this year, but here’s a start:
- He removed Liz Cheney from GOP leadership for calling out Trump's "Big Lie"
- He blocked the investigation into the Jan. 6th insurrection
- He dismissed US Capitol Police who spoke the truth about what happened
- He threatened companies that complied with the Jan. 6th investigation
- He joked about hitting Nancy Pelosi with the Speaker's gavel
- He tried (and failed!) to block COVID-19 relief and the child tax credit
- And so much more…
McCarthy has acted with impunity for far too long. Our campaign is holding him accountable -- right now in the district and at the ballot box next November. But if we’re going to do this, we need to meet the mark on every fundraising goal, especially our final FEC end-of-quarter goal of the year:
