23 Democrats have retired so far.
This is an astronomical number.
It is not just Democrats in swing states retiring. Members of Democrat leadership are also retiring.
Leadership Retirements include:

The Democrat Chairman of the Budget Committee

15% of Democrats on the Appropriations committee

Two Subcommittee chairs of the Appropriations Committee

The previous Chairwoman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC)
Biden’s polling numbers are bad. Pelosi’s numbers are worse. We believe this is a sign of a strong Red Wave building.
The largest Republican takeover in the 21st Century was in 2010 when the GOP took back 53 seats. There was a similar fear that spread through the Democratic party in 2010 which resulted in 17 retirements.
The same symptoms of 2010’s red wave are present today but exacerbated.

Mass retirements from Democrats including those in leadership
We believe Democrats are weaker today than in 2010.
As such, the National Republican Campaign Committee (NRCC) is targeting 70 vulnerable Democrat held seats.
This is an aggressive venture but considering the conditions we believe we will break 2010’s record for seats taken.
However there are significant concerns regarding funding.
Sustaining operations in 70 target seats is going to require additional funding. We will need to increase all monthly goals by approximately 30%.
However, should we succeed, we will witness the largest Red Wave of this century. |
