It’s hard to believe 2022 is only 5 days away! What a year it has been with a legislative session, a special session, and coming back from a continuing global pandemic. There have been so many successes, not just in our work & but in our personal lives as well. 

For example, this year I once again realized just how important it is to ensure we have language access in Nevada. From groups like ours to our government - we need to ensure people can communicate in their language. That’s why I’ve decided to go to school to become a certified translator! I ended up getting accepted into a program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and I cannot wait to begin! Even my amazing fur baby, Chulo supports this!

As far as our work is concerned, it’s been an outstanding year! We saw the passage of SB420, Nevada’s Public Option Bill, AB321, which increases voter access, and finally getting the mining industry to start paying what they owe to raise revenue for our state. This progress doesn’t happen without your support!

We stood by school board members and fought disinformation as well. This is a win especially as we look to 2022, where we will undoubtedly see more of this vitriol. Our team will continue fighting to ensure Nevadans are informed and able to thrive.
