This is huge news, John – and it couldn’t come at a more critical moment for Brady.
With only six days left in 2021, we are behind on our end-of-year goal, which is essential to meet in order to continue to fight gun violence in all its forms. Thankfully, a group of generous donors has agreed to MATCH all grassroots donations up to our end-of-year goal of $100,000 — but ONLY until midnight on Dec. 31!
In 2022, we have the opportunity to leverage everything we've won in hard-fought battles to end our gun violence epidemic: Banning ghost guns in more states, after passing legislation in Nevada and cities across California. Finally passing commonsense legislation in gun safety-championed Congress. Stopping the NRA’s push for a radical interpretation of the Second Amendment at the Supreme Court.
But it all hinges on meeting our end-of-year goal. We need to raise $100,000 from grassroots donors to meet this match, fund our fight, and save lives – but we only have until midnight on Dec. 31. I need your help today:
Please, will you be one of the FIRST people to have your end-of-year donation matched and make DOUBLE the impact in our fight to end gun violence and save lives in 2022?

There are many reasons that our grassroots advocates beat on through an oftentimes arduous fight – but whatever your guiding light might be, I know that it will inspire you to step up today. I work alongside Christian and Maisha as vice presidents at Brady, all of us gun violence survivors. The loved ones we lost are who guide us in this fight, especially on the hard days.
My mom was killed 18 years ago – in December – when a man shot her in our doorway. I have to admit that the last weeks have been hard, they’ve been different than before. But working with my team at Brady, working toward change, and feeling this community’s support really helps. We’re going to save other families from feeling the loss that far too many like mine have. And we’re going to see real change in 2022, but only if we can step up in these last days:
This is a make or break moment and I need your help, friend. I’m writing to you as a mother who doesn’t want her kids to fear for their lives when they go to school. I'm writing to you as a gun violence survivor who believes that Brady’s mission is what will allow us to save other lives. And I’m asking you to support our fight:
Will you make an end-of-year donation right now to kick off this match and have every dollar you give DOUBLED? It will go directly toward powering Brady's work saving lives and ending this epidemic of gun violence — but we only have until Dec. 31 to hit our goal, so it has to start right now, with YOU.
